Member of Parliament for Tema East, Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, has issued a stern warning to officials within the Mahama administration not to bring the integrity of Hon. Alban Sumana Kinsford Bagbin into disrepute.
He particularly sent a warning message to the Deputy Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, hence calling on him to be mindful of his utterances against Hon. Bagbin’s persona.
The Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations on Monday, November 4, 2013 described the existence of Hon. Bagbin in government as "untenable" for criticizing President John Mahama.
He wrote on his Facebook page that: “I hold the view that the Hon. Alban Bagbin has made his continued stay in government untenable with his conduct”.
The former Health Minister, Alban Bagbin, who doubles as a member of the President's "Wise Men" superintending over the execution of government's priority projects, claimed President Mahama has become inaccessible to him for the past five months.
According to him, all his frantic efforts to offer his advice to the President in private about the incessant corrupt acts coupled with other economic challenges have failed. After scathing attacks on him by Stan Dogbe, a Presidential Staffer, the former Minority and Majority Leader opined that the president was “naked” if such characters were managing him.
The deputy information minister then waded into the fray and described Hon. Bagbin as "persona non grata" in the Mahama government.
But contributing to a panel discussion on Oman FM, Titus Glover was of a strong conviction that Felix Kwakye Ofosu could be his 'child' and for that matter has no right or whatsoever to attack the personality of Hon. Bagbin.
He stated emphatically that he can give birth to him. “I am 47 years. If I were a bad boy, I can give birth to Felix Kwakye. You attack my leader. ‘Who born Dog?’”
