Chief Executive Officer of Security Warehouse, Adam Bonaa, says Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi should be promoted to encourage police officers to be brave in executing their duties by providing maximum safety for Ghanaians.

Inspector Ashilevi was killed in the line of duty at the Kwabenya Police Station when gunmen invaded the station to free seven cell inmates.

Comparing the unfortunate incident to that of the late Major Mahama, the military officer lynched by Denkyira-Obuasi residents who mistook him for an armed robber, Mr Bonaa stressed that Inspector Ashilevi’s death would not be in vain as he is ready to ensure that the slain policeman is promoted in the shortest possible time.

Speaking at the one-week memorial service of the Inspector, Mr Bonaa, who described the incident as very uncommon, further suggested that the Kwabenya Police station is named after Mr Ashilevi who was killed at “his own backyard”.

‘’Late Maxell Mahama was promoted so Inspector Ashilevi should be promoted and the Kwabenya Police station should be named after him so his legacy will remain.’’ He maintained.

Mr Adam Bonaa and his team donated GhC1000 to the beavered family at the one-week memorial service which was held at the Pokuase residence of Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi.

He also assured the family of the deceased policeman of their support towards the final funeral arrangement.
