Kufuor to Attend WEF In South Africa

President Kufuor is expected to attend the 18th World Economic Forum (WEF) African edition, which will begin Wednesday in Cape Town, South Africa under the theme ‘Capitalizing on Opportunity’.

Last week, Kufuor was in Japan to attend the Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Yokohama. It's not yet known if Kufuor will travel straight to Cape town from Japan

Other African leaders attending the three-day forum include Nigeria's President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, South Africa's President Thabo Mbeki, Rwanda's, Paul Kagame, Burundi's Pierre Nkurunziza, President Bingu Wa Mutharia of Malawi, the prime minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga and President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Koroma.

The forum which has as its theme `` Capitalising on Opportunity'' will have in attendance some 800 participants from 50 countries.

Experts from across the economic spectrum, will be discussing "Re-engineering Growth; Unfinished Business, Innovate or Perish; Partnership without Borders; and Licence to Lead."
