Kufuor leaves for London

Accra, May 31, GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor departs Accra for London on Wednesday to deliver the keynote address at the International Cocoa Conference to be held in London on June 1, 2006

Mr Andrews Awuni, his Press Secretary, said at a Castle briefing on Wednesday, that from there he would travel to the United States (US) on a private visit.

President Kufuor, he said, would later go to Germany to support the national soccer team, the Black Stars at the World Cup Tournament. He is expected back home on June 16.

Mr Awuni said, pursuant to Article 60 (8) of the Constitution, the Vice President would act in his absence.
