Kufuor grants audience to Canadian delegation

Accra, Oct. 10 GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor on Friday granted audience to a delegation from the Clark Sustainable Resource Development, a Canadian Company, with a unique technology for removing stumps and trees in rivers and dams.

Mr. John Clark, a former Canadian Prime Minister, who is the Executive Chairman of the Company, led the delegation. They are in the country to follow up discussions with the Government on the possibility of removing stumps in the Volta Lake, to enhance transportation safety.

It is the Company' second visit to Ghana in about five months. President Kufuor said the project was important, in view of the increasing accident rate on the Volta Lake.
