Kufour Should Be Shot – NDC Guru

The Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, I.K. Adjei-Mensah, last Thursday recommended that President Kufour be sent to the gallows for pushing the country’s debt burden to ?76 trillion within three years.

The NDC government is being accused of economic mismanagement because it left a debt of ?41 trillion. President Kufour deserves to be shot for pushing the debt to over ?76 trillion within three years,” he said.

Adjei-Mensah, who made the remark while launching the party’s membership cards at the Sunyani Victoria Park, was, however, quick to assure Ghanaians that “this would not happen again in the country.” High-ranking officials of the NDC, including Party Chairman, Dr. Obed Asamoah, Ofosu Ampofo, National Organiser, Haruna Iddrisu, Youth Organiser and Alhaji Collins Dauda, Bring Ahafo Regional Chairman, attended the launch.

Earlier, Haruna Iddrisu accused President Kufour of “wasting all the ?76 trillion on foreign visits.” The NDC Youth Organiser also described President Kufour as a “liar and a dishonest person” because, according to the Youth Organiser, the President said in his State of the Nation Address that Positive Change was being felt in the pockets of Ghanaians, and also described the nation’s infrastructure as being in shambles when his government assumed office in 2001.
