Asante Kotoko National Supporters chairman Kweku Amponsah known in the football circles as ‘chairman K5’ has hinted of the intention to end referee Samuel Suker’s life after the referee awarded a controversial penalty to rivals Accra Hearts of Oak during last Sunday’s super clash.

According to the outspoken and loyal Kotoko supporter referee Samuel Suker’s ‘offence’ was unpardonable and that they will ‘kill’ him to atone for his error.

He further stressed that taking the life of the St Thomas Aquinas SHS teacher will serve as a deterrent to other match officials and curb bad officiating in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

He made known his intentions in an interview with ace sports broadcaster Sometimer Otou Acheampong.

"Hearts played well but the penalty was a bad call by the referee, it was totally uncalled for. What Suker did was very sad and unfortunate. Some of the supporters called me and they were livid and if he doesn’t take care, we will kill him’’.

He was however made to retract to the statement he made.

Referee Samuel Suker awarded a penalty to Hearts after a strike by Sam Yeboah came off the ‘hands’ of defender Ahmed Adams in the 85th minute. The penalty was calmly converted by Hearts defender Vincent Atinga and it turned out to be the only goal of the match.
