Kotoko striker Songne Yacouba needs to work hard- Maxwell Konadu

Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu says Songne Yacouba needs to work hard to rediscover his deadly form as the Ghana Premier League gets underway.

Songne Yacouba played a role in Asante Kotoko’s 1-0 win over Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Konadu in an interview indicated that the Burkinabe International is recovering from injury which has affected his output and the technical team is working to get him back to his top form.

"Yacouba is coming from injury. He's doing his best. We're trying to fix his physical and mental situation. We've heard a lot of issues around," he told Kickgh.com.

"He's pushing in training but I think he still needs to do more. Every striker must score which he nearly scored unfortunately he was in an offside position. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and see what happens moving forward," he added.
