Founder of the Mindset, Integrity, Loyalty, Leadership and Service (MILLS) Institute, Koku Anyidoho, has been appointed Chairman of a seven-member planning committee for the maiden edition of the Ecumenical Convention, organised by the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG).
The committee was formally inaugurated by the CCG on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at its headquarters in Accra.
At a media briefing, the General Secretary of the CCG, Dr Cyril Fayose, described Anyidoho as a devoted member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church who, together with the committee, will oversee the preparation and execution of the convention.
The other members of the committee include Dr Joyce Steiner, Director of Programmes and Advocacy at the CCG; Miss Salome Kadi Tetteh, Secretary to the Committee; Rev Jehoida Godwin Amuzu, Coordinator of Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations at the CCG; leadership expert and cross-cultural communicator Rev. Christian Kwaku Tsikata; Stephen Osofo Amoateng and Rev Dr Mark Quaye.
In his acceptance speech, Anyidoho assured the CCG that he and his team would deliver on the mandate given to them and ensure that the convention achieves its objectives.
He said it was an honour to serve alongside such distinguished personalities to ensure that the maiden edition of the convention makes a lasting impact.
He further stated that as God’s representatives on earth, it is crucial to support activities that seek to unite the body of Christ and propagate the gospel, and he urged the Christian Council to continue engaging the media on its nation-building initiatives.
The CCG Ecumenical Convention is expected to foster unity and collaboration among Christian denominations in Ghana and the diaspora, while also empowering Local Christian Council leadership to serve as agents of peace, unity, and harmony in their communities.
It also aims to strengthen the capacity of Christian leaders to pool resources for effective ministry, harness technology and innovation to build a vibrant church, and create a unified voice on national issues affecting governance.
The convention will also recognise churches, LCCs, and individuals who have excelled in promoting Christian unity, peace, and reconciliation.
Special activities at the event will include an awards ceremony to honour individuals and churches that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to Christian unity, a daily health and wellness segment to promote physical and mental well-being, the launch of the CCG Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Programme (FILEP) to equip participants with financial management skills, and dedicated prayer sessions for Ghana.
The maiden Ecumenical Convention will be held from November 14 to 16, 2025, at the Central Cafeteria of the University of Ghana, Legon, under the theme “Uniting the Body of Christ for Greater Impact.”
