The Whindo Government School has benefited from the benevolence of a German Foundation with the provision of places of convenience, urinals and changing rooms.

The project, which cost GHS15,000.00 would among others improve upon school sanitation and hygiene.

The absence of such needful facilities in most state owned schools have contributed to truancy as many students use the excuse of responding to nature call to run away from academic work and girls suffering the burden of staying home during that cycle of the month.

The provision of the sanitary facilities at the school has, therefore, come as a great enabler to facilitate peaceful academic work and participation.

Mrs. Evelyn Groeling, the owner of the Foundation, Kinderhilfe Ghana, said the Foundation was concentrating on children in rural areas of Ghana lacking teaching and learning materials, school dropout, provision of facilities in schools and issues around teenage pregnancies.

Nana Adanse III, the Chief of the Whindo Community on behalf of the School and the community expressed gratitude to the philanthropist for the assistance to the school.

He assured her of good maintenance of the facility for posterity to also benefits.
