Kidnappers mostly foreigners from neighboring countries are on the mission to bring the name of Ghana into disrepute by kidnapping other foreigners, Security Analyst, Mr. Paul Boateng has revealed.

“Do not forget the good image Ghana has internationally among other West African countries. People from neighboring countries will try to kidnap foreigners just to put us on a bad light internationally”, he suspects

According to Mr. Paul Boateng who spoke on Kumasi-based local radio station in relation to two Canadians who kidnapped in Ghana by yet to arrested suspects, the Ghana Police to sit up and ensure perpetrator of such heinous crimes are brought to book.

“The saboteurs want to disgrace Ghana”. He pointed out to host of Nhyira FM morning show, Papa Nyameke during the monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Police have mounted a search for an unspecified number of men who allegedly abducted two Canadian women aged 19 and 20 respectively at Ahodwo, a suburb of Kumasi last Tuesday.

Police in the Ashanti Regional capital will not give further information except to say the case is under investigation; promising to track down the kidnappers.

Reports indicate that one of the victims, identified only as Lauren is in Ghana with her other colleague on an exchange programme with the Entrepreneurship Department of the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU).
