Kennedy Agyepong Insults The President

The loose-tongued New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong is at it again; turning his unrestrained tongue to the President, the entire membership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Police Service.

The NPP MP claims the President of the Republic of Ghana, Mr John Dramani Mahama, has been intimidating him in a court case in which he was alleged to have made tribal comments prior to the 2012 general elections and therefore calls him [President] “bullshit”.

Speaking Saturday April 20, 2013, on Nhyira Fm’s weekly analysis programme dubbed, “Kukurantumi” Mr. Agyapong stated, his continuing appearance in court over his alleged tribal comments prior to the elections, was making life unbearable for him since the case had engaged most part of his day-to-day activities; a situation he attributed to the President’s machinations.

Turning his unbridled tongue to the NDC, the MP said, “These NDC people are fools. What can they do to me? Let them come and cut my head off if they are not fools. Always saying foolish things about people thinking nobody will respond to them. Everyday Kennedy Agyepong, Kennedy Agyepong, Kennedy Agyepong. No amount of money can repair my damaged imaged and so I will also have to insult them.”

He called the members of the Ghana Police Service ‘fools’ who were doing the bidding of the ‘bullshit’ President.

“If a sitting President, who handed power over to himself will come out to say things…... What bullshit! Their brains are not working. These NDC people are fools. What the President went to say in the Volta Region that he was happy that they did not react to what Kennedy Agyepong had said; what kind of bullshit President is that? Then the stupid fool Police too will come and say they are…what kind of bullshit is that?” Mr Agyepong asked rhetorically.

He vowed to face any member of the ruling party who attempts to confront him.

The MP continued with his intemperate and insulting until Mr Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu-Juabeng Municipal Assembly called into the programme to rebut Mr Agyepong’s claims.

The MCE described Mr Agyepong’s untterances as “unfortunate and in bad taste”.

Mr. Yamoah Ponkoh said the claims by the MP that he was being haunted by supporters of the NDC could not be sustained. He advised Mr. Agyapong to eschew utterances that had the potential to jeopardise the security of the country. Kennedy Agyapong is facing two charges of provocation of riot and offensive conduct for allegedly declaring war on Ewe and Ga ethnic groups of the Volta and Greater Accra Regions, respectively. He made the call during a phone-in segment of a programme on Oman FM, a private radio station he owns under a media company name, Kencity Media Limited. Below is an excerpt of what Kennedy Agyepong said on Nhyira FM on Saturday:

You NDC people don’t know how serious these things are; when they make false statement against you in the presence of the whole world. How do I go back to correct this impression about me? You Nkhyira FM, always you want to disgrace me, saying as for Kenny Agyepong he is a violent person. What kind of nonsense is that? These NDC people are fools. What can they do to me? Let them come and cut my head off if they are not fools. Always saying foolish things about people thinking nobody will respond to them. Everyday Kennedy Agyepong, Kennedy Agyepong, Kennedy Agyepong. No amount of money can repair my damaged imaged and so I will also have to insult them. If a sitting

President, who handed power to himself will come out to say that…Their brains are not working. These NDC people are fools. What the President went to say in the Volta Region that he was happy that they did not react to what Kennedy Agyepong had said; what kind of bullshit President is that? Then the stupid fool Police too will come and say they are…what kind of bullshit is that?
