Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako has described as outrageous allegations by Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong that investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas was linked to the murder of late MP, J.B. Danquah.

The Assin North MP has gone on a one-man campaign against the award-winning investigative journalist over his latest exposé.

The exposé, which is expected to be premiered on Wednesday, June 6, is titled ‘Number 12: When Misconduct & Greed Become the Norm’.

Mr Agyapong who has a problem with Anas’ style of investigation, has attacked the journalist to the extent of releasing ‘pictures’ of him and threatening to also release a video titled ‘Who Watches the Watchman?’ to expose the journalist.

In one of his attacks against the investigative journalist, Mr Agyapong suggested that Anas and the wife of late MP for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah-Adu were having an affair.

According to him, “If he dares me, I will ask him if he knows Ivy, J.B’s wife, and for how long…I will show him pictures from UK and Dubai…I am challenging Anas…”

Kweku Baako indicated that Kennedy Agyepong has categorically alleged that Anas had a hand in the murder of J.B Danquah-Adu.

Mr Baako who was contributing to a discussion on Joy FM/MultiTV current affairs programme, Newsfile, on Saturday wondered why Kennedy Agyepong did not assist the police with the information he has; knowing that the issue is in court.

“…very outrageous and serious allegation to make…why is it that the lawmaker who is suddenly making this allegation has not found it necessary to give this information to his party and the police? Why was he hiding it; assuming without admitting he really has that information? A responsible lawmaker; you have such an explosive information and it is not given to the police. It is suddenly when Anas is going to do number 12 and you don’t want it shown and all of a sudden you release this; well let people think whether this is not an attempt at character assassination…” he opined.
