Kennedy Agyapong offers GH¢100,000 for Anas’ boy killers

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has placed a GH¢100,000 (¢1 billion) bounty on the heads of the killers of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Private Investigation (PI) team.

According to the MP, he was willing to dole out the money to any person who would volunteer information that would lead to the arrest of the assailant(s).

The NPP MP said he is doing that to ‘clear his name’ since he has been linked to the gruesome murder of the undercover investigative journalist.

“What I want to do is that I will give GH¢100,000 to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the people responsible because it’s my reputation that is at stake,” Mr. Agyapong said on his own Net2 TV yesterday.

Ahmed Hussein-Suale was allegedly killed in Rambo style by two men on a motorbike while he was leaving home late on January 16, 2019 at Madina, a suburb of Accra.

Accusing fingers have been pointed at the outspoken MP following the death of the Tiger Eye PI member, as the MP has been accused of inciting people to kill him.



Last year, the MP was captured asking the studio crew of Net2 TV to show pictures of the deceased during the premiering of his ‘Who Watches The Watchman’ documentary aimed at discrediting Anas’ Number 12 documentary that catalogued widespread corruption in football in Ghana and beyond.

The expose led to the resignation of then Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Kwesi Nyantakyi, who doubled as the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The MP has parried all the allegations leveled against him, saying he had nothing to do with Ahmed’s death.

He has already given a statement to the police in connection with the case as part of investigation into the matter.

He said the police should not narrow their investigations since the culprits could be hiding somewhere.

The MP has also called on the police to invite Anas for questioning since he claimed he could also know something about the case.

The police have also taken a statement from Mr Nyantakyi, as the deceased played a key role in the Number 12 documentary by Anas.
