Kennedy Agyapong On Rampage

-We Bribed Joy FM’s Matilda Asante, accuses Multimedia of Bias against NPP

Maverick and acerbic-tongue New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has again done what he is noted of, descending into the gutter on his Madina- based radio station, Oman FM last Thursday night.

Versatile and award winning broadcaster, Matilda Asante and Chief Executive of Multimedia Broadcasting Group, Mr. Akwasi Twum were the ones hardest hit by the Assin North MP.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong said he regretted walking out of Newsfile, a live current affairs radio and television discussion program hosted by Matilda Asante on the Multimedia channels every Saturday morning.

According to him, he should have stayed and continued the program to enable him expose the host of the program, Matilda Asante as a traitor, who during the reign of their (NPP) government, collected large sums of monies ostensibly, to do their ‘dirty’ works after claiming, she was NPP. He said today with the new National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration in power, she has again gone to take monies to paint the NDC white.

Kennedy Agyapong then latched onto the Chief Executive of Multimedia Group, Mr. Kwasi Twum and the group’s networks, accusing them of bias against his party, the NPP and its flag bearer, Nana Akufo Addo. Goaded by his General manger, Kwabena Kwakye, who also doubles as host of the station’s political discussion talk show, “Boiling Point”, the bitter-mouth legislature virtually went to town on any one whose name comes to his mind in the almost one hour long discussion. Other personalities who came under intense verbal attack from the NPP Member of Parliament was the Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu, President John Mills, Hon. Twumasi Appiah, former Attorney General, Madam Betty Mould Iddrisu. He finally zeroed-in on Deputy Chief of Staff, Alex Segbefia, Dr. Tony Aidoo, Richard Quarshiga and Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah, host of Ekosi Sen on Asempa FM. Koku Anyidoho and Nii Lantey vanderpure also had their fair share of the loud-mouth Agyapongs’ venom.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong verbally attacked The Al-Hajj’s Managing Editor, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu and threatened to finally deal with him the following day on Tema-based Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show.

President John Mills was next to bear the brunt of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, accusing him of being a thief who is hiding under the guise of ‘father-for-all’ mantra. “ President Mills is going round claiming he is father for all- father for all; it’s a lie, he is a thief. “His father for all is for himself and no one else, he and the NDC people are thieves, go to Dubai, London and see the mansions they have acquired, we know all what they are doing”, Kennedy Agyapong disclosed. Kennedy Agyapong, whiles alleging that Hon. Twumasi Appiah is a thief who has stolen gold from some investors said the Director of Communications at the presidency, Mr. Koku Anyidoho is ‘filthy’ corrupt. “Look! Go to East Legon and see the kind of mansion Koko Anyidoho has put up, even his boss, President Mills would envy him; where did he get all that monies to build such a house”? He queried. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has over the time gained notoriety for vitriolic attacks and seems to believe to have acquired a copy right over the use of vituperative language at the least opportunity.

Kennedy Agyapong recently stated categorically that the Woyome scandal has largely exposed President JEA Mills as the most corrupt president Ghana has ever had and promised that if he fails to deal with corruption under his administration, he would be jail when the NPP comes back to power.

The NPP loud-mouth MP, at a charged mammoth rally two Saturdays ago to climax the NPP flag-bearer’s national listening tour campaign went on the offensive and at a point, described President John Mills as the ‘chief thief’ in the country. In a related and dramatic development, the Assin North MP, Kennedy Agyapong, last Friday on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning Show, rendered a sincere apology to President John Mills over the derogatory remarks he has over the period made against him, especially during the recent NPP rally at Mantse Agbona, James Town here in Accra.

Whiles addressing the NPP rally christened; "gargantuan", Hon. Kennedy Agyapong stated that President Mills is Ghana's number one thief, and therefore a perfect candidate for jail.
