Ghanaian Afrobeats artiste Kelvyn Boy has once again addressed the long-standing rift between himself and former mentor Stonebwoy, confirming that they have not been on good terms since their fallout in 2019.
Speaking in an interview with Joy Prime’s George Quaye, the singer opened up about the circumstances that damaged his reputation during his time in Stonebwoy's camp.
He revealed that rumours painted him as troublesome and stubborn, adding that such narratives followed him when he joined Stonebwoy’s Burniton music group.
"Some people had this idea that I was a troublesome person or a stubborn person. They spread those rumours, and it affected how others saw me. Even when I was in Stonebwoy's camp, those rumours continued," he said.

Kelvyn Boy attributed the negative perception to people who neither understood nor liked him, but said he has chosen to rise above it.
"It was from people who didn't understand me or like me. But I don't really care like that. It is all with God. If God says yes, no one can say no," he said.
When asked directly whether he and Stonebwoy are on speaking terms, the artiste replied, "It's been a long time since that time… How are we going to vibe?" he said.
Asked whether he would consider reaching out to his former boss to reconcile, Kelvyn Boy said he would rather leave the matter alone than force a resolution.
"I am not like that. I don't even know how to go about all of this, and I don't want anything to happen. I don't think there is a need to," he said.
Despite the distance, Kelvyn Boy said his feelings for Stonebwoy remain genuine and warm.
"I love him from my heart. It was out of love that all this came. So let's just leave it to God, because going back and forth with it is not necessary," he said.
