Kadieso Launches 30mC Development Plan

Kadeiso (B/A), June 23, - The residents of Kadeiso in the Kintampo District have launched a two-year development programme estimated at about 30 million cedis. Projects being undertaken include electrification and the establishment of agro-forestry plantations. The Assemblyman for the area, Mr. Buraimah Sula, told the Ghana News Agency at Kadeiso that the projects are being financed through special contributions from the people. According to Mr. Sula, men are contributing 20,000 cedis each while women pay 10,000 cedis each. He said the people have purchased 50 poles for the electrification project and appealed to the Kintampo District Assembly to provide them with 50 additional poles. The people, he said, have decided to grow cashew and teak trees. Mr. Sula called on the Forestry Department for the supply of seedlings and technical assistance.
