Executive Director of The Press Foundation, TPF, Mr. Listowell Yesu Bukarson has called on government to be proactive in finding an antidote to the needless deaths that have thrown the Kumasi Academy School into a state of pandemonium.

“Leadership seem confused about what’s going on. And this is not funny at all” He said. The situation we find ourselves in as a nation where the Ghana Health Service and medical experts can’t even diagnose the cause of the deaths is more scary.” Mr. Bukarson said.

“The President must seek results from these medical experts without delay otherwise sanction them severely” He charged. “We can’t live in a country where leadership in such sensitive positions is a joke”

“Students are dying and all we hear is try and error. Useless talk” He wondered. “It’s time for action. The leadership joke must stop”. Mr. Bukarson added.

24 other students are currently on admission at the hospital.

Last week’s death occurred within 48 hours, a day before the school celebrated its 60th anniversary on Saturday.

Meanwhile, blood samples of the three first-year male students who died last week have been sent to the Noguchi Memorial Research Institute to ascertain the cause of death.
