Valentina Ofori Afriyie, the widow of Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong (KABA) could barely stand on her feet, least of all walk, as she made her way to the one-week memorial service of her husband held at the premises of the Multimedia Group at Kokomlemle in Accra on Saturday 25 November.

Relatives, friends and sympathisers had to hold her on either side to help her walk as she wailed uncontrollably.

The Asempa FM political talk show host who died on Saturday, 18 November, will be buried on 16 December 2017, the family announced at the memorial service.

There will be a thanks-giving service on 17 December at a venue yet to be announced in Accra.

Friends and sympathisers who were present made various donations towards the funeral ceremony.

Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia donated GHS5000, the East Legon Executive Club donated GHS5000; Mr Ibrahim Mahama, brother of former president John Darmani Mahama donated GHS10,000; Class Media Group, owners of Class91.3FM where the widow, Valentina Ofori Afriyie, works, also donated an undisclosed amount.

Others present were representatives from EIB led by CEO Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray), Despite Group of Companies, Atinka Media Village, some members of parliament, political party representatives and a host of others.
