Jumah begs for forgiveness

Kofi Jumah Eats Own Dung

Under the cover of darkness

The loose-talking former Minister of Local Government and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has demonstrated through unparalleled Nicodemus antics that he is nothing but a coward who opens his loud mouth wide in public against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government but sneaks through the back door in the darkness of night to beg for forgiveness.

Information uncovered by your authoritative, The Catalyst indicates that Maxwell Kofi Jumah’s public show of bravado is a big hoax as he under the cover of darkness went on his knees recently and begged the Deputy Minister of Information, Mr James Agyenim Boateng for forgiveness.

Explaining, Kofi Jumah, our source pointed out, said his unguarded statements on air against the NDC government and the Deputy Minister in particular stemmed from the fact that he and his colleague former ministers are unable to endure the pressure being brought to bear on them, owing to their own misdeeds whilst in office.

Kofi Jumah, who is also a former Chief Executive of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), this paper can state on authority, first sent an emissary to apologise Mr James Agyenim Boateng on his behalf asking for his forgiveness for unjustifiably badmouthing him and the NDC government. Closely on the heels of that, he placed a personal call to the deputy minister to profusely reiterate the same point.

Mr James Agyenim Boateng confirmed our story when this paper reached him for his comments. It would be recalled that Mr Kofi Jumah publicly claimed to have dragged to court Radio Gold and Mr James Agyenim Boateng for defamation, regarding some tape recordings of subversive intents played on the radio station during the last elections, purported to be the voice of the former KMA boss.

Loudmouth Kofi Jumah has made it a habit of publicly taking a swipe at President Atta Mills and recently called him a joker when news went round that he has been pencilled for prosecution regarding issues of corruption in the last government.

Recently, Kofi Jumah practically tore the Security Advisor to the President, Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah into pieces following media reports that his name was mentioned by the former as one of those ministers who served in the past government who is likely to be prosecuted under the new government.

Judging from his audacious utterances on air, it is mind-boggling that Kofi Jumah is the one that has been frantically begging the ‘small boy’ he has vowed to deal with mercilessly, behind the scenes. Mr Jumah is one of those ex-ministers who on leaving office after NPP’s electoral defeat at the last polls, took away at least one state car. After flouting the new government’s order to return the ‘stolen’ car, he has vowed to deal drastically with anybody who would dare step foot in his house to retrieve the state car.

A loosed-tongue in the last government, Kofi Jumah once bragged openly on air that as KMA boss, he took 10 million cedis as per diem anytime he travelled within Ghana out of Kumasi and pocketed more than that when he embarked on trips abroad.

Over the past 5 months the Asokwa NPP MP has made the public to believe that he is one of those former NPP ministers with the gut to dare the Mills government. But his recent Nicodemus activities have exposed him for what he really is- own dung eater.
