Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi's Visit

Koizumi pays floral tribute to the statue of Hideyo Noguchi at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, where Noguchi conducted research on yellow fever in the 1920s, in Accra May 2, 2006. Noguchi, a Japanese medical scientist, died in Accra in May 1928 while investigating yellow fever. Koizumi is in Ghana on the second leg of his week-long three-country tour.
