Islamic Society Appeals To IGP

Accra (GAR), July 4, The Ghana Society for Islamic Education and Reformation (GSIER) today appealed to the Inspector-General of Police to help stop an encroachment on a property meant to serve Madina community. It said the community will lose if the encroachment is not stopped on the land where a primary and Junior Secondary school have been built by GSIER for the people of Madina. " This will not encourage us or any donor organisation to help Madina knowing how we have been treated". Imam Snuib, leader of GSIER, at an emergency meeting with some tribal heads of the Madina Moslem community at the North Ridge Hotel said they acquired the land from Alhaji Amadu Baba Seidu and his brother Adamu, both sons of the Late chief of Madina which was duly registered with the land Title Registry with number 3738?1995. He said it was later brought to their notice that both Siedu and Adamu who sold the land to them have intended re-selling it to others.
