Head of Local Government Service, Nana Ato Arthur, has questioned the modus operandi of the Anointed Palace Chapel International [ACP], founded by Francis Antwi, popularly known as Reverend Obofour.

To him, recent activities of the said church and conduct of its members are ‘uncalled for’ and must be condemned by the Christian fraternity.

His comment comes after Adwoa Amoako, Municipal Chief Executive [MCE] of Tema West Assembly, reportedly escaped being physically attacked by some agitated members of Obofour’s church.

The MCE and his team were at the premises of the Community 18 branch of the church as part of their routine checks when the irate youth allegedly pounced on them and subjected them to severe beatings with sticks and cutlassess.

The taskforce had planned to write on the churh walls following the failure of the church to produce a permit when the incident occured.

A police complaint was later made by the Assembly to the Sakumono Police Station, who took up the matter and arrested the five culprits.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Nana Ato Arthur who was clearly unamused by the incident questioned if truly ACP is a house of God.

“Is that place really a church?” he repeatedly quizzed.
