Iran, Ghana keen on cultural cooperation

Tehran, Sept 9, IRNA -- Iran`s ambassador to Ghana, Majid Bizmark and head of Ghana`s National Culture Commission George Hegan in a meeting in Accra exchanged views on mutual cultural cooperation and other matters of interest.

A report released by the Foreign Ministry media department said that at the meeting Bizmark submitted an invitation from the Head of the Culture and Islamic Communication Organization Hojjatoleslam Mahmoud Mohammadi Araqi to Hegan to visit Iran.

The Ghanaian official hoped to visit Iran soon. According to the report, during Araqi`s visit to Ghana last year, a joint cultural statement was signed by representatives of the two states.

It added that during the upcoming visit of head of Ghana`s National Cultural Commission to Iran, an agreement will be inked on cultural exchanges between the two countries
