As part of the Government of Ghana’s effort to ensure sustainable mining and protect the environment, an Inter-Ministerial Committee which was set up in March 2017 has completed the Roadmap that will regulate the activities of the Small Scale Miners in the country.
On Thursday, August 16, 2018, will be the outdooring of the Roadmap and this would be led by Prof. Frimpong-Boateng at 10:00am.
A Press Release signed by the Deputy Minister For Information, Nana Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, states that the mandate of the Inter-Ministerial Committee was to enforce the ban on Small Scale Mining and develop a comprehensive roadmap to guide the activities of small scale miners.
“After a year of comprehensive work, the Committee has completed the roadmap that will regulate the activities of the small scale miners and guide their operation”.
