Award-winning investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has announced an upcoming investigative exposé focusing on the operations of Angela List’s Nguvu/Konongo Mines and the wider implications of the dispute for Ghana’s gold sector.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Anas said the investigation, conducted by The New Crusading Guide and Tiger Eye, draws on documents, court records and other findings gathered during their investigations.
Titled "The Stakes and Mystery of Angela List’s Nguvu/Konongo Mines", the upcoming exposé is expected to examine the dispute surrounding the mining operations, the relationships underpinning them and the potential implications for the state.
“The New Crusading Guide and Tiger Eye peered behind the gold veil. What we found sits in documents, in court records, and in places no one wanted us to look,” Anas wrote.
He indicated that further details, including names and figures, would be disclosed when the investigation is released.
“Some stories are reported. This one had to be dug out. No names yet. No numbers yet. Just this: when the full file opens, a lot of people will be reading it twice and some will wish it had never been written,” he added.
Anas also raised questions about the impact of the dispute on Ghana’s gold sector and the potential cost to the state.

“How is the fight reshaping Ghana’s gold sector and what is the state losing while it rages on? What networks and relationships underpin List’s operations? Who and who are behind. We unmask and break it down,” he stated.
The journalist did not announce a specific release date for the investigation but urged the public to stay tuned for further updates.
