NPP firebrand and outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has expressed worry about the growing levels of indiscipline in the country.

The Assin Central MP believes that is the cause of the country's slow growth and development

He was worried that the canker was eating into every facet of life of the African especially Ghanaians.

As a means of curbing the situation, the MP advised that there was the need for attitudinal change to reestablish some sanity into the systems of developing countries like Ghana.

“The Late reggae legend, Bob Marley said that he had no fear for atomic energy because that cannot stop the time, but our attitude can; and that there is the need to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. I agree with him,” he said.

Kennedy Agyapong added many people in this part of the world are unable to achieve their dreams because they have failed to disentangle themselves from foreign influence.

He bemoaned the overreliance on western culture and ways of doing things by some Ghanaians.

The visibly worried legislator noted that the situation gets worse in some situations such that no amount of persuasion can move them from their preconceived positions.

“Africans and for that matter, Ghanaians have failed to live up to their expectations up till now because we have sold ourselves to the Whites. They may even deny something they see with their own eyes,” he said.

Kennedy Agyapong expressed these sentiments when he appeared as guest on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” Tuesday.

Despite the gloomy picture, Kennedy Agyapong urged Ghanaians to build on the legacy bestowed on them by forefathers to build a better Ghana for the future.

He believes it is possible to make Ghana the place we want it to be if we contribute our quota to its development
