Ignore social media appointments from Akufo-Addo - Former MP

A former Member of Parliament for Obuasi East Constituency in the Ashanti Region Edward Ennin has advised members of the party and persons lobbying for positions in the new government to be wary of social media appointments.

According to him, social media appointments could be the fiction of some people’s imagination and are not representative of the president’s decision the need for party functions to tread cautiously.

“No one should be deceived by social media appointments…the only appointment is what the president makes on an official letter bearing his original signature.”

“Look, let me tell you…I also thought some people were influencing appointments until I engaged the services of Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko on a totally different issue and he couldn’t deliver, that was when I realized no one can lobby the president,” he disclosed.

“Gabby came to my house and we discussed a lot of issues with the hope that he could pull some strings, unfortunately nothing happened and I respected Akufo Addo’s independence,”

According to Edward Ennin, President Akufo Addo is solely in charge of his appointments and no powerful group or individual is operating anywhere near the Jubilee House in his name.

Ennin praised the president for being decisive on in his appointments so far.

His comments follow claims that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama Henry Kwabena Kokofu had been given the post of Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission only for a Former General Secretary of the NPP Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie to be given same post.
