If you denied Mahama credit for Terminal 3, why blame him for its flood? – A Plus asks

Controversial musician and sympathizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Asare Obeng better known as A Plus has questioned the relevance in blaming former President John Dramani Mahama for ‘flooding’ on the multi-million terminal 3 at the Kotoka International Airport when same persons are refusing to admit it is the latter.

Some persons especially of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) he stated, are still adamant in admitting the project is worth it and therefore must hail the former President who initiated it but were quick to throw jabs when videos emerged on social media the place had been flooded.

He has particularly peeved that section of Ghanaians particularly NPP propagandists started name calling and finger pointing about the project when they refused in a similar fashion to admit it was the brainchild of the former president.

“NDC is taking credit for it so they have to answer when there is flood they say. Did you give them that credit by inviting even John Mahama to the commissioning of the place? Where is John Mahama mentioned in this letter? You didn’t give him credit. Now that there is flood you remember that NDC was taking credit.”

In his view, the NPP administration deserves the flag for the floods since they do not want to admit the legacy of the former president.

NDC is taking credit for it so they have to answer when there is flood they say. Did you give them that credit by inviting even John Mahama to the commissioning of the place? Where is John Mahama mentioned in this letter? You didn’t give him credit. Now that there is flood you remember that NDC was taking credit. Take everything. Take the credit. Take the water. Use it for one village one dam. It was one of your own NPP people sent this to me to ask you why president Kufuor was invited by Prof Mills when he was commissioning the N1 but John Mahama has not been invited? There are still good people in the NPP. Many stooges still though.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Airport Company Limited has denied reports the newly constructed terminal 3 was flooded after Monday rains.

A statement posted on the official facebook page of the company read “We can confirm that there was NO flooding at KIA, neither was there flooding in terminal 3, as earlier reported”

The terminal 3 projected which was started by President Mahama was set to be commissioned on Tuesday, October 2 but has since been suspended indefinitely for reasons best known to the Aviation Ministry.

The new terminal 3 departure hall has swanks of 56 check-in desks, self-service stations, 30 passport control counters with four e-gate positions, I-validate centres, eight central screening security lanes, 22 airline ticketing offices, pre-screening area, three business lounges, six boarding gates and two bus boarding lounges, food court and duty-free shops.

It’s expected to increase the economic prospects of Ghana. The project also positions Ghana among countries with modern airport across Africa.
