Ibrahim Mahama leads peace walk in Tamale

Younger brother of President John Dramani Mahama and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners (E&P) Ibrahim Mahama on Sunday October 16, 2016 organized a peace walk within the Tamale metropolis.

The exercise was aimed at fostering peace among the contesting political parties and candidates prior, during after the December 7 polls.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama in a short address said he loved peace and democracy and once he hails from the north the best he can do to help his own people is to support peace and business in the north.

Other dignitaries who graced the walk included the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations Haruna Iddrisu, Minister for Roads and Highways Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale North Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini, Professor Joshua Alarbi Vice Chancellor of the University for Professional Studies (UPS), Executives of the Conventions Peoples Party, Peoples National Convention, and Progressive Peoples Party among others.

Also in attendance were the Northern Regional Chairman of the NDC Sofo Awudu Azorka and other executives of the party in the region.

The walk comes a day after the President’s brother donated GH¢ 200,000 to the Tamale Senior High (TAMASCO) School during its 65th anniversary celebration aside currently constructing a 550-bed dormitory facility for his alma mater.
