Renowned Ghanaian philanthropist and businessman, Ibrahim Mahama, has once again demonstrated his commitment to humanitarian causes by fully funding life-saving medical treatment for a Ghanaian in need.
Mahama, widely known for his charitable interventions, has covered the full cost of a $70,000 surgery for one-and-half-year-old Phoebe, a patient diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
The support was revealed in a report by GHOne TV, which stated that the entire sum for Phoebe’s treatment was personally paid by the billionaire.
“Ibrahim Mahama fully funds $70,000 surgery for Phoebe, diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia,” the media outlet posted on X (formerly Twitter) on May 23, 2025.
This act of generosity marks the second time in less than a month that Mahama has stepped in to support critically ill Ghanaians. Earlier in May, he financed emergency medical care in the United Kingdom for Suzy Adwoa Pinamang, a second-year student of Adventist Senior High School in Bantama. Suzy suffered a serious eye injury after being accidentally shot by a classmate.
