The Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah was not sacked from an IPAC meeting held on Thursday according to Peter Otokunor, deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Reports that emerged after the IPAC’s meeting indicated that there was the presence of heavily armed police officers who screened everybody before entering.

It was further said Bernard Mornah was asked to walk out of the meeting because he was disrupting proceedings because of the heavy police presence.

But Peter Otokunor speaking to this on Peace FM's evening news said Bernard Mornah was not walked out and that he only felt intimidated by the presence of the police ‘which has never happened before’.

“ . . the only thing was that there were heavily armed Police Officers which we didn’t understand. We have held IPAC meetings severally, and there has never been any police presence. Bernard Mornah said he felt intimidated by the police presence and the EC said subsequently they will work on it because it was as if we were going to war,” he indicated.
