I will enhance bilateral relations between China and Ghana-Chinese Ambassador

Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary of China to Ghana Gong Jianzhong
say, he will use his office as the Chinese Representative in Ghana to promote
trade and bilateral relations between Beijing and Accra.

Addressing the media after the just ended four day Huawei Mobile Broadband
Technology Road show in Accra, the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana said through the
cooperation between Huawei and its Ghanaian counterparts the bilateral relations
in the area of communications will be enhanced.
He said, Huwaei the Chinese Technology company and leading technology company in
the world will help Ghana use communication address the socio-economic problems
of Ghana.
The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Gong Jianzhong indicated that though the company
faces a lot of challenges he believes that in the coming years it will be a
better Huawei to change the face of technology across the world.
According to him ‘’Huawei is a reliable and an efficient company that will give
the Ghanaian people good service in the area of Information Communication
Technology’’ His Excellency Gong Jianzhong said.
He said ‘’Ghana is making strides with her democracy and the environment is
conducive for businesses thus I will not hesitate to encourage Chinese business
to partner their Ghanaian counterparts for mutual benefit’’.
Ambassador Gong Jianzhong relished the friendship between China and Ghana which
dates back in many years, and says he will further deepen the diplomatic ties
between the two countries.
In his speech the deputy Minister for Communication Hon. Gideon Kwame Boye
Quarcoo said ‘’our world as we have today has developed through the stone age,
the industrial age and now finds itself in the information age, as a result, no
longer is a nation valued solely by her natural resources, but her ability to
harness and employ the critical benefits of Information Communication Technology
in meeting the socio economic needs of her people and developing the country at
large’’ Hon. Gideon Quarco said.
He commended Huawei Technologies for exhibition the mobile broadband exhibition;
where the latest communication technology which has the power to increase
connectivity in Ghana will be on show.
‘’My first indebtedness goes to Huawei Technologies and I applaud the bold step
taken by the company to enrich the lives of the people of Ghana through
telecommunication’’ the deputy Minister stated.
The deputy Minister for Communication assured stakeholders and interested
parties in ICT field of the unflinching support of the Ministry of Communication
and the government of Ghana in promoting the sustainable development of ICT not
only in the capital and big towns but across the country to benefit the good
people of Ghana.
