Bishop Daniel Obinim, the founder and General Overseer of the International God's Way Church, has warned the two main contenders of the presidential election, President John Dramani Mahama and Nana Akufo Addo not to come to him for prayers with the hope of winning the presidential election.

The controversial bishop says he is not a politician, or a prophet who predicts winners for an election and will not want to be dragged into politics.

‘’ I am not a politician and so I have warned the political parties not come to me for prayers or campaign in my church. I have personally advised President Mahama and Nana Akufo Addo not to come to me for prayers to help them win the election… I am not against any of them. I will accept any candidate that will win the election. My calling is not to predict winners for an election and so I don’t engage in politics.’’

Bishop Daniel Obinim also debunked news report that he had predicted victory for the opposition NPP.

According to him, he was only explaining to his church the number of members of both parties and those who have more followers.

It’s being reported that the man of God has predicted victory for Nana Addo if only the race is free, fair and transparent.

The Bishop per some media reports said, in the spiritual realm; "the New Patriotic Party is 100% while the National Democratic Congress is 60%. So, if we are going to vote freely and fairly and the EC will be truthful who do you think will win?"

However, speaking in interview with Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he noted that, he did not predict victory for the NPP and that his comments have been misconstrued.

According to him, God has not revealed to him the winner of the 2016 elections. ''I did not predict victory for the NPP and Nana Addo. God has not revealed to me the winner of this year's elections and so i could not have predicted victory for the NPP.

I was only explaining to my church members the number of followers each party has.''
