Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has described his former press aide, the late Kwabena Boadu, as a sharp and astute young man who was going to be a national asset.

Speaking during the final funeral rites of Mr Boadu on Saturday February 4 at the State House in Accra, he indicated that he had lost a brother and a trusted friend.

“It is sad to accept that Kwabena Boadu is no longer with us. I first met him in 2011 when he was introduced to me by Anthony Karbo as someone who could help as my aide. He looked shy and unassuming but was very sharp and astute,” he said.

The 30-year-old died at Wa in the Upper West Region during the campaign for the 2016 polls.

He is believed to have died from electrocution in his hotel room.
