I prayed it was an NDC MP, not NPP - MP

MP calls for expulsion of "Drug" MP

The NPP MP for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should expel the Nkoranza North MP if it is established that he is involved in the drug deal.

P.C. Appiah Ofori told a local radio station -Joy FM - that Eric Amoateng has brought disgrace to the party and the NPP government and so there should be no attempt to shield him.

He was reacting to news of the arrest of the MP in connection with drug trafficking.

? When I heard it last week, I prayed to God that, that MP should be an NDC MP and not an NPP MP because we will not be able to absorb the disgrace and shame inflicted on our party".

This morning it has been confirmed that my prayers have not been heard by God, rather it?s an NPP MP, it?s a big shame not only to the party and government but also to the nation as a whole and it is my considered opinion that if it is established that it is him, he should be severely punished to serve as a deterrent to others.

The party should expel him, the Constitution says once you leave the party that brought you to parliament, you automatically vacate your seat,? he said.
