I'm the most marketable candidate - Kyerematen

Asamankese, Dec. 13, GNA - Mr Alan Kyerematen, a presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says he is the most marketable among the aspirants.

He said his name was already a household one, popular in every part of the country and if elected on December 22 as the aspirant of the NPP he could win the presidential election for the NPP.

Mr Kyerematen was speaking at Asamankese where he met party executives and polling station chairmen from five constituencies of the Eastern Region - Akwatia, Kade, Lower and Upper West Akyem and Aburi-Nsawam.

The aspirant, who received a huge welcome on arrival, called for support to enable him to achieve a "one-touch'' victory on December 22 at the Legon congress.

He said all the 17 aspirants were qualified to lead the party and the nation and though he was hopeful of winning, if the unexpected happened, he would give his absolute support to whomever wins. Mr Kyerematen said what people needed were jobs and cash and he would ensure that they had both if he won the presidency of the republic.

He said if elected the flag bearer, he would give every constituency a pick-up vehicle.

Mr Kyerematen said he would also give weekly allowances to polling station chairmen and would ensure that the party's foot soldiers were motivated to win victory for the party. Describing himself as a lawyer, economist and management consultant, Mr Kyerematen said he had th e qualities that would make him an effective and successful president.

He called on the foot soldiers to start door-to-door campaign to give the party victory in 2008.
