I got the highest number of jobs for my boys under Akufo-Addo - Ken Agyapong

With the spate of unemployment one person who has been vocal about the subject is the Assin Central Member of Parliament Honourable Kennedy Agyapong, as earlier reports by mynewsgh.com will show.

The Assin Central MP has revealed that in the year 2017, he secured through his own influence, over a thousand job slots across various sectors of the economy including protocol recruitments into the Police, Immigration etc.

To back up his claims, the outspoken MP provided numbers.

“At Cocobod, I got 84 jobs. Forestry Commission I got 400 jobs, yes 400… Community policing I got the boys 30 slots. At Youth Employment I got 100, you think we are joking”, he had said.

He boasted that even though it was difficult to get a job at the Airport Company Limited, he managed to secure 6 jobs there, in addition to 10 jobs he got for people at various Banks.

As a result of the above, the MP last Thursday took to Oman FM to lavish praises on the President for his good work. He said he has never gotten such massive job numbers under any government throughout his time in parliament.

“Truth be told, I have been an MP for 5 terms, no government has been able to give me more jobs for my constituents than President Akufo Addo gov’t. throughout my 5 terms.”, he said on Oman FM.

“I commend President Akufo-Addo”, he added.

Mr Kennedy Agyapong had earlier said when he secured such jobs, he shared the them according to the communities in his constituency and that his priority was only NPP members.

The controversial NPP MP is noted for speaking his mind freely on issues.
