Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Lawra in the Upper West region, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo has called on the public especially members of his constituency to disregard allegations he stole a phone belonging to the party’s flagbearer.

Ghanapoliticsonline.com, reported that the Deputy Communications Director of the NPP stole the mobile phone belonging to Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo during the party’s special conference at Sunyani while he was about to address the gathering.

But Karbo who spoke to ultimatefmonline.com in an exclusive interview said it is a ploy by a pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC) tabloid to soil his hard-won reputation indicating that he cannot stoop so low in doing such a thing.

“I urged the public to disregard the allegation. Let no one worry his pretty little head over this nonsense. People throw stones at things that shine”… supporters should not be distracted from the objective of #changein2016. Our opponents are shaky over the recent bold policy prescription from the NPP presidential candidate! We are in a long journey to rescue this dear nation”, he said.

According to him, it is needless responding to a well-orchestrated plan by the NDC who are hell-bent on distracting voters from focusing on the bigger picture of unseating the incumbent government which is not performing to the satisfaction of Ghanaians.

“This is just a palpable lie to divert the attention of Ghanaians who are yearning for change because the current government has failed to show that they have the expertise to manage the affairs of this country”, he said.

Mr Karbo urged constituents to remain resolute and garner more votes for the party’s flagbearer and himself to kick out an overly incompetent administration that is bereft of ideas in managing a country plunging the entire country into an economic quagmire.
