I can’t waste time planning a murder – Ken Agyapong debunks allegations

The man accused of being at the center of the alleged murder of Anas’ undercover partner has finally voiced his peace.

Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central after trending on social media particularly following news of the tragic death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, has emerged to respond to the supposed allegations.

Mr. Agyapong was accused by social media users of having contributed to the demise of the latter after releasing his photos last year as part of efforts to reveal his ‘corrupt schemes’.

Lawyer for the undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, also called for Kennedy Agyapong to be questioned considering he incited the public against Ahmed through earlier comments he made after the release of Anas’ Number 12 piece.

Debunking the allegations in a media interview on Accra-based Neat FM however, the outspoken MP described the allegations as ridiculous and stupid while maintaining he has absolutely no time to be planning people’s murder and assassination.

“This boy is irrelevant to my life. Why would I be stupid and order people to kill him looking at how far God has brought me? He has not offended me in any way. They should look for those who may be behind this heinous act. This is just cheap propaganda.”

“I don’t live a low life. I am focused on everything that I do, that is why I am very loud when I am arguing. I don’t compromise on anything. Ahmed has not done anything to me because I am not part of the people he set up” he added.

“I hear people want the police to question me. Why should the police invite and question me? I am not afraid of anyone. The police should come; I will replay the video to them. I don’t have time for Ahmed at all. They are just dodging the issue.”

“I don’t plot evil because the evil that men do lives after them. Anas and his team know the wicked things they have done and the enemies they have created for themselves and I am certainly not one. For me, I just wanted to expose Anas for people to know that he is equally corrupt, and that is exactly what I did. He stepped on the toes of many people. So if thorough investigations are not done and they rather accuse me of killing the gentleman, then they are dodging. The very people who committed the crime will go scot free”, he stressed.

Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, has officially invited Member of Parliament for Assin Central, the Honorable Kennedy Agyapong over the murder.

The police said they will leave no stone unturned in getting to the bottom of the murder. They said Mr Kennedy Agyapong is only being invited as a person of interest.

Ahmed Hussein-Suale who played a key role in Anas’ explosive investigations was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while driving home by unidentified men riding motorbike.
