Aduana Stars captain Yahaya Mohammed says he is the one who convinced coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi to move into the stands in their 6-0 mauling at the hands of Raja Casablanca.

The Japanese-American trainer was spotted in the stands for the second half of the CAF Confederation Cup match on Wednesday.

Kenichi’s absence from the touchline confirmed reports of a rift between him and management members of the club.

Yahaya Mohammed who was made captain of the side by the former Hearts of Oak coach explains he urged Kenichi to move into the stands to avert more trouble.

“I advised coach Kenichi to sit in the stands because I realized there was a misunderstanding between him and some management members during halftime and he listened to me as his captain,” he told Fox FM.

Aduana Stars crashed out of the Confederation Cup at the foot of their group with a paltry 4 points.

The end of their campaign also marked the end to the brief stint of Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
