Human traffic at Elubo border post reduces

Human traffic, which was at its peak last week at Elubo following the crisis in Cote D'Ivoire has now gone down considerably, a survey conducted by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) showed on Wednesday. Wednesdays, which are market days at Elubo and the influx of many Ivorian traders trekking to Ghana for their shopping needs is normally at its peak.

Mr Divine Norlobie, Deputy Superintendent of Immigration in charge of arrivals at the Elubo border, said so far, most of the persons returning from Cote D'Ivoire, are Nigerians, Beninnoise and Burkinabe students. He said both sides of the border had remained open since the crisis started on 19 September.
