News of the passing of the founder of the Kristo Asafo Church, Dr Kwadwo Safo, widely known as “Kantanka, the African Star,” has sparked an outpouring of tributes and emotional reactions across social media.

The celebrated man of God, technologist, philanthropist, agriculturist, and industrialist passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, according to his family.
