The General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has questioned the capacity of the Ghana Police Service to investigate him over his recent revelation which is a spiritual matter.

According to him, he finds it extremely strange to understand how the Police which has no ‘spiritual eye’ will be able to establish the veracity or otherwise of the revelation he had from God, an exercise which cannot be done pysically.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, has invited the Man of God whose utterances are seen as controversial by a section of the public for making inciteful comments which has the tendency of causing fear among the citizenry.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah is reported in the media to have said that some politicians, including NPP members, were conniving to kill the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, during his electioneering.

He is also quoted to have said that: “On election day, there will be a lot of gunshots at NPP strongholds and many will sustain injuries, while others will lose their lives. The NPP must beware”.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah in an interview said he has no regrets for making his revelations public without first informing the police, as he was only obeying the directions of God.

“If God asked me to first inform the IGP, Army Commander or the BNI about this revelation, I would have done just that…but he said I should tell it to the whole world for all to hear. Because God told me someone will hurl a stone at Akufo Addo and it happened…that was the sign, God said speak again that some persons have planned to kill him and this time it will not be a stone but through a gun, and that he’ll go to Volta Region where they will again try to kill him. So God asked me to put it out there so that Nana Akufo Addo will be protected.

He added: I’ve said exactly what God asked me to do. I may have to go with the police before God and ask God to show us the people planning to assassinate Akufo Addo if it will be possible that way. Because I’ve never seen matters of spirituality being investigated physically, this is my first time.”
