The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has contained a domestic fire that broke out at Gbawe Gravel Junction on April 14, 2026, destroying baking utensils and damaging several household items.

In a post on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Service said its team arrived within minutes of receiving the distress call and worked swiftly to bring the situation under control.

The fire was fully extinguished within an hour, according to the statement.

The GNFS also confirmed that no injuries were recorded during the incident.
“Our timely intervention prevented the flames from spreading further and saved five rooms from destruction,” the statement said.

“We are grateful that lives were protected, and investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing,” the Greater Accra Regional PRO noted.

The Service stated that the successful operation reflects its continued commitment to safeguarding lives and property, adding that such interventions are vital in maintaining public confidence in its emergency response efforts.
