The British media offered varying reports about Group L in the 2026 World Cup, which consists of England, Panama, Croatia, and Ghana.
Some outlets including the BBC, Daily Mail, The Athletic, The Sun acknowledged that the group is a tough one, warning that it could be tricky if teams fail to take their matches seriously or underestimate their opponents.
Most highlighted Ghana as one of the trickiest sides, pointing to star players such as Antoine Semenyo and Kudus Mohammed and described them as a team to watch.
Croatia were tipped as the favorite to challenge England for the top spot in the group, given their experience in the tournament and the presence of key players who could make an impact.

Panama, despite being ranked above Ghana, were regarded as the minnows due to their record in the competition and the calibre of players they possess.
The British media noted that the onus lies on Three Lions head coach Thomas Tuchel to win the group-stage matches and push on to clinch the trophy.
While some reports admitted that the Black Stars will be a tough nut to crack, others argued that they will not pose a significant threat to England despite the strength of their squad.
