Hospital appeals to families to collect bodies

Koforidua, April 14, GNA - The Koforidua Regional Hospital on Thursday appealed to families who had abandoned their dead bodies at the morgue too come for them else the hospital would be forced to bury them in mass graves.

This was contained in a statement issued by the management of the hospital in Koforidua a copy of which was made available to the Ghana News Agency.

The statement gave out the names of the abandoned bodies as Vida Amponsah, 22, believed to be from Kraboa in the Suhum- Kraboa-Coaltar District who died on July 21, 2010.

Yaw Koranteng, 58, from Asokore, near Koforidua and died on November 05, 2010, Dora Ofeibea, 30, from Begoro and died on November 29, last year and Joseph Akoto, 55, from Nsukwao. The statement said two weeks after the publication of the information, the hospital would be forced to bury the bodies in mass graves without any further notice.
