Ghana Methodist Mission, Experience Holy Spirit Visitation In Montreal-Canada.
From: Stephen A. Quaye, Toronto- Canada.
Ten’s of members of the Ghana Methodist Church, over the weekend experienced the Holy Spirit visitation on them as they gathered to seek the face of the lord.
Members of Methodist Men’s Fellowship Circuit in Toronto, join their brothers and sisters in Montreal to seek the face of the lord in order to be able to win more souls for Christ through prayer when the Holy Spirit Visitation occurred on August 14, 2010.
As members went into the auditorium of the church and started to seek the face of the lord, they engaged themselves in serious prayers asking for God directions and power to fill them to be able to win more souls for him.
They asked for steadfastness in order to be able to discharge their church duties, family responsibilities and be at peace with all mankind as Christ came to live as well as be filled with love and unity to serve him God.
From 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. members went through serious prayers interlaced with singing of hymnals and songs of praises which was so powerful that brought a lot of joy into the hearts of members gathered as they expressed it through dancing, clapping and waving of handkerchiefs.
But the Holy Spirit visitation took place exactly 12:15p.m after the leader of the prayer section at that time Reverend Samuel Mpreh, asked members to go into serious praises and adoration which charged the whole room.
With humility but a lot of seriousness, members prayed asking God to visit them and fill them with his Holy Spirit to be able to take up the task of spreading his word to win souls for him and the church.
At exactly 12:15p.m with Reverend Samuel Mpreh and the host Reverend Emanuel Ohene Gyimah, leading members in a more serious prayer, a big sound of cries were heard among the gathering which preceded the Holy Prophesy of God.
The identity of the member who prophesied I am keeping because it was not his might but that of the lord, which assured them of God guidance in their steps taken to widen his ministry by spreading his word to win more souls for him.
Exactly as recorded in the Acts of Apostles, the prophesy came in foreign language but the interpretation was thus,” I AM YOUR GOD MOST HIGH IF YOU WILL ACCEPT THAT I CREATED YOU AND WORSHIP ME I WILL BE WITH YOU ALL AT ALL TIMES,PROTECT YOU AND SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEEDS. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED FOR CHOOSING TO WORSHIP ME. I WILL BE WITH YOU AS YOU ENDEAVOUR TO SPREAD MY WORD TO WIN SOULS FOR ME YOUR GOD.DO MY WORK AND REAP ALL THE BENEFITS I HAVE FOR YOU”.
When the visitation started some members got frightened therefore went into total submission by kneeling down or bowing down their heads with their eyes closed to receive the commanding words of God at that time.
After the visitation, members shared the joy of the lord which came to them in assurance of good health, job placement, good marriage, peaceful environment for both Ghana and Canada as well as the world over by embracing one another.
Before the prayer section, Reverend Emanuel Ohene Gyimah took members through a bible lesson. He charged them to yearn for spiritual food that endures forever instead of physical food that will not bring life to them.
According to him, when one takes a critical look at what has been taking place all over the world in recent times, it behooves on one to seek the face of the lord before the last day which may come unnoticed.
The minister of God observed that acquisition of wealth has become so important to certain people that they no longer want to have time to seek the face of the lord who is the provider of life adding “just staying beneath God is useless except seeking his face and following his commandments otherwise all the worldly acquired wealth would be meaningless”.
In the invocation of the Holy Spirit exercise, Reverend Samuel Mpreh, picked his Text from Psalms 47, which is full of praises and adoration to God, most high and charged members to always adore God and praise him in all things.
He cautioned members that the way to resist the devil is not by tying him down as sometimes said in some songs, but rather resist him by using the word of God including singing praises and adoration to God.
Reverend Mpreh said, God is not limited to any nation therefore anywhere Christians gather to rebuke the devil, he will definitely free from them.
“The whole universe belongs to God and Christians have a task which is reviving the church for God to take full control of his people therefore I am charging God’s people to rise up and take up the task spreading the word to bring life to those who are going astray” he charged Christians.
End.
to improve the performance of the church in opening more branches in Canada Montreal gathered assured them of God protection, healing, family growth and total development ones they worship him and surrender the whole of their life unto him.
