Heward-Mills, Despite, Dawuni, Becca: Watch videos from Stevie Wonder's plush birthday dinner

Media mogul, Osei Kwame Despite and his business partner, Ernest Ofori Sarpong were present at a dinner for American music icon Stevie Wonder.

Hosted by EMY Africa and the East Legon Executive Fitness Club, the event saw a gathering of notable figures from various sectors, including corporate Ghana, religious, sports and entertainment sectors.

Videos shared by Accra-based UTV showed among others, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Fadda Dickson, Nana Adwoa Awindor and others at the event.

GhanaWeb's review of the available footage also revealed that Becca and Rocky Dawumi were present as was Kennedy Osei and Ghanaian footballer, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, a member of the East Legon Executives Fitness Club.

The event, aside from celebrating his birthday, was also a celebration of the global music icon's new citizenship status.

Stevie Wonder was on May 13, 2024, conferred with Ghanaian citizenship by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.

Real name, Stevland Morris, the multiple Grammy award winner in an interview with the BBC, the first since he was conferred with Ghanaian citizenship disclosed his long relationship with Ghana.

"For years, I have talked about being in Ghana, I started talking about it in 1973. When I first came, I felt the essence of it as if I had been here before and I said this is where I need to be," he stressed.

"My message is, people, let's come together for the goodness of our culture, all cultures and for the goodness of the world," the new Ghanaian citizen added.
