The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled November 7 to 9, 2026, for aspirants seeking various national executive positions to submit their completed nomination forms ahead of the party’s national executive elections.

The elections are scheduled for December 19, 2026, as part of efforts to elect new officers to steer the affairs of the party.

The party’s Director of Elections and IT, Mahdi Gibril, warned that aspirants who fail to submit their completed nomination forms within the stipulated period will automatically be disqualified from the contest.

According to a report by citinewsroom.com on November 6, 2026, Gibril said aspirants are required to submit their forms in person between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on each of the three days.

He explained that candidates must present three sets of completed Forms A, B and C, together with their photographs and curricula vitae (CVs), to the election committees.

“Aspirants will now submit their forms in person, where they will present their Forms A, B and C, completed in three sets, with their photographs and CVs to the election committees, starting from Saturday, November 7, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm,” he said.

Gibril stressed that the deadline would be strictly enforced, adding that the filing process would close at exactly 5:00 pm on Monday, November 9.

“If you are not able to file before 5:00 pm on the 9th of November, it means that you are out of the contest,” he cautioned.

He further clarified that completing the online submission process alone would not amount to a successful filing, as aspirants are required to physically present their completed and endorsed documents.

Vetting of aspirants who successfully complete the nomination process is scheduled for November 11 and 12.

Meanwhile, Gibril said the party had put measures in place to ensure the peaceful conduct of its regional executive elections scheduled for November 14, 2026.

He disclosed that the Electoral Commission was supervising the printing of ballot papers, with the process approximately 80 per cent complete as of his latest update.

On security arrangements, he said the NDC had placed responsibility for maintaining law and order during the elections in the hands of the Ghana Police Service.

“Security is in the hands of the Police Service, so ours is that we expect that they do their work without any challenge. They will not allow any personal security details. Ministers and MPs will not be allowed to have their security details within the perimeter of voting. Party security will not be allowed,” he stated.

He added that the party expected the police to maintain the same security arrangements adopted during the constituency-level elections.
